TL;DR
This paper explores a five-dimensional thick brane model supported by phantom scalar fields, comparing it with models supported by regular scalar fields to highlight key differences and novel features.
Contribution
It introduces a new 5D thick brane model supported by phantom scalar fields and compares its properties with existing models supported by usual scalar fields.
Findings
Distinct features between phantom and usual scalar field-supported branes
Comparison highlights differences in brane structure and properties
New insights into phantom scalar field effects in higher-dimensional models
Abstract
A model of a thick brane in 5D bulk supported by two phantom scalar fields is considered. The comparison with a thick brane supported by two usual scalar fields is carried out. The distinctions between a thick brane supported by one usual scalar field and our model have been pointed out.
