A. Kup\'s\'c, P. Moskal, M. Zieli\'nski

TL;DR
This paper reviews multimeson production in proton-proton interactions, emphasizing its role as a background in eta, omega, and eta' meson decay experiments, and highlights the need for improved theoretical descriptions.
Contribution
It summarizes existing data on multimeson production and stresses the importance of developing better models to accurately describe these processes.
Findings
Multimeson production is a significant background in meson decay experiments.
Current understanding of these reactions is incomplete and requires further theoretical work.
Improved descriptions are essential for precise meson decay studies.
Abstract
Multimeson production in pp interactions comprises important background for eta, omega and eta' mesons production experiments and for the studies of their decays planned with WASA detector at COSY. The available information about the reactions is summarized and the need for efforts to describe the processes is stressed.
