TL;DR
This paper explores the geometric origins of metastable vacua in D3 brane systems at toric singularities, linking supersymmetry breaking and complex deformations of Calabi-Yau spaces.
Contribution
It provides a geometric interpretation of metastable vacua and connects field theory phenomena with complex deformations of CY singularities in specific examples.
Findings
Metastable vacua correspond to certain complex deformations.
Supersymmetry breaking/restoration relates to geometric deformations.
Analysis of L^{aba} examples illustrates these relations.
Abstract
We study the geometric interpretation of metastable vacua for systems of D3 branes at non isolated toric deformable singularities. Using the L^{aba} examples, we investigate the relations between the field theoretic susy breaking and restoration and the complex deformations of the CY singularities.
