Christian L\"ubbe, Paul Tod

TL;DR
This paper introduces a conformally-invariant analysis method to examine an evaporating black hole model, revealing that local conformal extensions are generally possible from the future but not from the past.
Contribution
It presents a novel conformally-invariant approach to analyze black hole singularities and their extendibility, advancing understanding of black hole conformal structure.
Findings
Local conformal extension possible from the future
No local conformal extension from the past
Method applicable to models of evaporating black holes
Abstract
We use a new, conformally-invariant method of analysis to test incomplete null geodesics approaching the singularity in a model of an evaporating black hole for the possibility of extensions of the conformal metric. In general, a local conformal extension is possible from the future but not from the past.
