Asif Saddique, M. Jamil Aslam, Cai-Dian Lu

TL;DR
This paper investigates how lepton polarization and forward-backward asymmetries in B->K_1 tau tau decays are affected by the universal extra dimension model, highlighting potential signals of new physics beyond the Standard Model.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of decay observables in the UED model, including their dependence on the compactification radius, and extends the study to related B decays for comparison.
Findings
Observables are sensitive to the compactification radius R.
Helicity fractions depend significantly on R.
Results differ from Standard Model predictions, indicating potential new physics signals.
Abstract
Decay rate, forward-backward asymmetry and polarization asymmetries of final state leptons in B-> K_{1}tau ^{+}tau ^{-}, where K_{1} is the axial vector meson, are calculated in Standard Model and in the universal extra dimension (UED) model. The sensitivity of the observables on the compactification radius , the only unknown paramter in UED model, is studied. Finally, the helicity fractions of the final state K_{1} are calculated and their dependence on the compactification radius is discussed. This analysis of helicity fraction is briefly extended to B->K^{*}l ^{+}l ^{-}(l =e,mu) and compared with the other approaches exist in the literature
