Dominant Contribution in Pion Production Single-Spin Asymmetries
Philip G. Ratcliffe, Marco Ramilli

TL;DR
This paper identifies the main partonic processes responsible for single-spin asymmetries in semi-inclusive pion production at high transverse momentum and medium-large Feynman-x, using a collinear twist-3 factorization approach.
Contribution
It highlights two dominant partonic subprocesses that significantly contribute to the observed asymmetries, advancing understanding of spin effects in QCD.
Findings
Two dominant partonic subprocesses identified
Significant contribution to asymmetries at large pT and medium-large xF
Enhances understanding of spin phenomena in pion production
Abstract
Working with a completely collinear twist-3 factorized cross-section formula, we identify two largely dominant partonic sub-processes, which contribute to the single-spin asymmetries in semi-inclusive pion production, in the region of large pT and medium-large xF.
