TL;DR
This paper details the calibration process of a high-granularity digital hadron calorimeter using muons, demonstrating its effectiveness through experimental results from Fermilab test beams.
Contribution
It introduces a calibration method for a digital hadron calorimeter with Resistive Plate Chambers and validates it with test beam data.
Findings
Successful calibration of the calorimeter with muons
Validation of calibration procedure through Fermilab test results
Enhanced accuracy in hadron energy measurement
Abstract
The calibration procedure of a finely granulated digital hadron calorimeter with Resistive Plate Chambers as active elements is described. Results obtained with a stack of nine layers exposed to muons from the Fermilab test beam are presented.
