TL;DR
This paper finds an exact solution for a nonlocal scalar field cosmological model inspired by string theory, revealing a universe with phantom dark energy and monotonic expansion.
Contribution
It introduces a method to solve nonlocal cosmological models exactly by relating them to an infinite set of local models, providing new insights into nonlocal dynamics.
Findings
Exact solution describing a monotonically increasing universe
Demonstration of phantom dark energy behavior
Connection between nonlocal and local cosmological models
Abstract
A general class of cosmological models driven by a nonlocal scalar field inspired by the string field theory is studied. Using the fact that the considering linear nonlocal model is equivalent to an infinite number of local models we have found an exact special solution of the nonlocal Friedmann equations. This solution describes a monotonically increasing Universe with the phantom dark energy.
