Search for a Realistic Orbifold Grand Unification
Yoshiharu Kawamura

TL;DR
This paper reviews a grand unified theory model on an orbifold, discussing boundary conditions, gauge symmetry dynamics, and a family unification scenario through orbifolding.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed analysis of boundary condition choices and explores a novel family unification approach via orbifolding.
Findings
Boundary conditions significantly influence gauge symmetry breaking.
Dynamical rearrangement can alter gauge symmetry structures.
Orbifolding enables new pathways for family unification.
Abstract
We review the prototype model of a grand unified theory on the orbifold and discuss topics related to the choice of boundary conditions; the dynamical rearrangement of gauge symmetry and the equivalence classes of BCs. We explore a family unification scenario by orbifolding.
