Yuki Kawaguchi, Muneto Nitta, and Masahito Ueda

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates the creation of knotted spin textures in a spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensate, exploring experimental methods for their generation, detection, and lifetime analysis.
Contribution
It introduces a novel method to generate and study knotted spin textures in Bose-Einstein condensates, expanding understanding of topological excitations.
Findings
Knots of spin textures can be created in the polar phase of a spin-1 BEC.
Proposed experimental schemes for generating and probing these knots.
Analysis of the lifetime of the knotted spin textures.
Abstract
We show that knots of spin textures can be created in the polar phase of a spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensate, and discuss experimental schemes for their generation and probe, together with their lifetime.
