Nonlocal Particles as Strings
Tai-Chung Cheng, Pei-Ming Ho, Tze-Kei Lee

TL;DR
This paper introduces nonlocal particle theories with conformal symmetry that can replicate string theories, offering a new method to construct solvable backgrounds in string theory.
Contribution
It presents a novel approach to formulating nonlocal particle models that are equivalent to string theories, expanding the toolkit for string background solutions.
Findings
Examples equivalent to bosonic open and closed strings
Provides a new framework for solvable string backgrounds
Establishes conformal symmetry in nonlocal particle theories
Abstract
We find nonlocal particle theories with two dimensional conformal symmetry, including examples equivalent to the bosonic open string and closed string. This work provides a new approach to construct solvable consistent backgrounds in string theory.
