TL;DR
This paper calculates the production rates of single sleptons with top quarks at colliders within a supersymmetric model, analyzing potential signals and backgrounds for detection at the Tevatron and LHC.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed cross section calculations and simulation-based analysis for single slepton production associated with top quarks in the B3 supersymmetric model.
Findings
Signal can be distinguished from background at the LHC.
Lepton charge asymmetry helps identify the signal.
Event rates vary with different supersymmetric scenarios.
Abstract
We calculate the total cross section for single charged slepton production in association with a top quark at hadron colliders in the baryon triality (B) supersymmetric model. We compute event rates for the Tevatron and LHC. We study the signatures for different supersymmetric scenarios including neutralino and stau LSPs. We perform a detailed analysis with basic cuts for the B operator using Monte Carlo simulations to show that the signal can be distinguished from the background at the LHC. In particular we employ the resulting lepton charge asymmetry.
