TL;DR
This paper reviews recent developments in using five-dimensional holographic duals to construct four-dimensional theories where gravitons emerge as composite states, extending holographic methods to gravity model-building.
Contribution
It introduces a framework for creating 4D emergent gravity models through 5D holography, bridging phenomenology and holographic duality.
Findings
Demonstrates how spin-2 states can be emergent in 4D via 5D holography
Extends holographic duality applications to gravity model-building
Provides a conceptual foundation for emergent 4D gravity theories
Abstract
I review recent work toward constructing, via five-dimensional holographic duals, four-dimensional theories in which spin-2 states (gravitons) are emergent. The basic idea is to extend to gravity model-building the applications of holographic duality to phenomenology construction.
