Mixing of heavy baryons in the bag model calculations
Andrius Bernotas, Vytautas \v{S}imonis

TL;DR
This paper investigates how spin-spin interactions cause mixing of baryon wave functions with different quark flavors and assesses the impact of this mixing on baryon mass calculations within a modified bag model framework.
Contribution
It introduces a study of wave function mixing effects on baryon masses using the modified bag model, highlighting the importance of spin-spin interactions.
Findings
Mixing significantly affects baryon mass predictions.
The modified bag model accounts for flavor-dependent wave function mixing.
Results improve understanding of baryon structure and mass spectra.
Abstract
Spin-spin interaction causes the mixing between ground state wave functions of baryons containing three quarks of different flavors. We examine the effect of this mixing on the baryon masses in the framework of the modified bag model.
