Yongli Ping, Lixin Xu, Baorong Chang, Molin Liu, Hongya Liu

TL;DR
This paper derives a five-dimensional brane universe model that modifies Friedmann equations, introducing a term that can account for dark energy and cosmic acceleration, providing a new perspective on the $$CDM universe.
Contribution
The paper presents new exact solutions for a 5D brane universe model that reproduces the $$CDM universe and explains cosmic acceleration via a modified Friedmann equation.
Findings
Modified Friedmann equations include an extra term acting as dark energy.
Derived solutions describe a 5D manifold consistent with $$CDM.
The model explains cosmic acceleration without dark energy.
Abstract
An exact solution of brane universe is studied and the result indicates that Friedmann equations on the brane are modified with an extra term. This term can play the role of dark energy and make the universe accelerate. In order to derive the CDM Universe from this global brane model, the new solutions are obtained to describe the manifold.
