Two remarks on the local Hamiltonian problem
Peter C. Richter

TL;DR
This paper introduces two specific restrictions of the local Hamiltonian problem that are proven to be BQP-complete, expanding understanding of quantum complexity classes and their relation to local Hamiltonian problems.
Contribution
It presents two natural restrictions of the local Hamiltonian problem that are shown to be BQP-complete, complementing previous results for other complexity classes.
Findings
Two restrictions are BQP-complete under Karp reduction.
Previous work identified restrictions complete for QCMA, QMA_1, and MA.
Expands the landscape of quantum complexity classifications.
Abstract
In this note we present two natural restrictions of the local Hamiltonian problem which are BQP-complete under Karp reduction. Restrictions complete for QCMA, QMA_1, and MA were demonstrated previously.
