Bertha Cuadros-Melgar, Eleftherios Papantonopoulos, Minas Tsoukalas,, Vassilios Zamarias

TL;DR
This paper investigates five-dimensional gravity with Gauss-Bonnet and induced gravity terms, demonstrating that BTZ black holes can exist on a codimension-2 brane and extend into the bulk with regular horizons.
Contribution
It introduces a model with Gauss-Bonnet and induced gravity terms showing BTZ black holes on a 2-brane can be embedded in the bulk with regular horizons.
Findings
BTZ black holes are realizable on the 2-brane.
These black holes extend into the bulk with regular horizons.
The system admits solutions with consistent horizon structures.
Abstract
We consider five-dimensional gravity with a Gauss-Bonnet term in the bulk and an induced gravity term on a 2-brane of codimension-2. We show that this system admits BTZ black holes on the 2-brane which are extended into the bulk with regular horizons.
