Simple queueing approach to segregation dynamics in Schelling model
Pawel Sobkowicz

TL;DR
This paper introduces a queueing-based method to analyze segregation dynamics in a modified one-dimensional Schelling model, aiming to derive a simple formula for the count of unhappy agents after segregation.
Contribution
It presents a novel queueing approach to model segregation in a simplified Schelling model, providing analytical insights into agent happiness.
Findings
Derived a formula for unhappy agents after segregation
Validated the queueing approach with model simulations
Simplified analysis of segregation dynamics in 1D models
Abstract
A simple queueing approach for segregation of agents in modified one dimensional Schelling segregation model is presented. The goal is to arrive at simple formula for the number of unhappy agents remaining after the segregation.
