TL;DR
This study uses local-probe techniques to explore magnetic fluctuations and anisotropy in Nd3Ga5SiO14, revealing a transition from a fluctuating paramagnetic state to a more static state under certain conditions.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed local-probe investigation of Nd3Ga5SiO14, demonstrating its fluctuating paramagnetic behavior and field-induced dynamics crossover at very low temperatures.
Findings
Evidence of a fluctuating paramagnetic state down to 60 mK
Observation of a dynamics crossover to a static state above 0.5 T
Recovery of NMR signal at low T and high field
Abstract
We report a local-probe investigation of the magnetically anisotropic kagom\'e compound NdGaSiO. Our zero-field SR results provide a direct evidence of a fluctuating collective paramagnetic state down to 60 mK, supported by a wipe-out of the Ga nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) signal below 25 K. At 60 mK a dynamics crossover to a much more static state is observed by SR in magnetic fields above 0.5 T. Accordingly, the NMR signal is recovered at low above a threshold field, revealing a rapid temperature and field variation of the magnetic fluctuations.
