Simonetta Liuti, Saeed Ahmad, Gary R. Goldstein, Leonard Gamberg

TL;DR
This paper explores how exclusive $$ electroproduction can probe the transversity distributions of quarks in polarized nucleons, connecting partonic and Regge models.
Contribution
It introduces a framework linking generalized parton distributions with Regge phenomenology to study transversity in exclusive processes.
Findings
Proposes using $$ electroproduction to access transversity distributions.
Establishes a connection between GPDs and Regge models.
Highlights potential to measure tensor charge.
Abstract
Exclusive electroproduction and related processes are suggested to investigate the chiral odd transversity distributions of quarks in the transversely polarized nucleon, , and its first moment, the tensor charge. The connection between a description based on partonic degrees of freedom, given in terms of generalized parton distributions, and Regge phenomenology is explored.
