Effect of the Coulomb interaction in A(d,p) fragmentation
A.P.Kobushkin, Ya.D.Krivenko-Emetov

TL;DR
This paper investigates how Coulomb interactions influence the cross-section of A(d,p) reactions at high energies, showing significant effects near specific proton momenta but negligible impact at high momentum regions.
Contribution
It introduces a Glauber-Sitenko model calculation of Coulomb effects on A(d,p) reactions, highlighting their importance near the reaction peak.
Findings
Coulomb interaction increases the differential cross section near the peak.
Effect is negligible at high proton momenta where quark effects dominate.
Significant Coulomb effects occur only at specific proton momentum values.
Abstract
In the framework of Glauber-Sitenko model we calculate contribution of Coulomb interaction in cross-section of A(d,p) reaction at high energy and zero angle. It is demonstrated that such effect significantly increases the differential cross section only at peak, where the proton momentum is near half of the deuteron momentum in lab. frame, . The Coulomb interaction do not change the results in the high momentum region, where quark effects should be taken into account.
