Antoni Szczurek, Tomasz Pietrycki, Anna Rybarska, Gabriela Slipek

TL;DR
This paper investigates azimuthal and transverse momentum correlations in proton-proton collisions at RHIC, incorporating novel subprocesses within the $k_t$-factorization framework and analyzing the dependence on different gluon/parton distributions.
Contribution
It introduces for the first time certain $k_t$-factorization subprocesses and compares results using various unintegrated gluon/parton distributions.
Findings
Collinear NLO $2 o 3$ processes dominate at small azimuthal angles.
Results vary significantly depending on the choice of UGDF/UPDF.
Inclusion of new subprocesses enhances the understanding of jet and photon correlations.
Abstract
We discuss correlations in azimuthal angle as well as correlations in two-dimensional space of transverse momenta of two jets as well as photon and jet. Some -factorization subprocesses are included for the first time in the literature. Different unintegrated gluon/parton distributions are used in the -factorization approach. The results depend on UGDF/UPDF used. The collinear NLO contributions dominate over -factorization cross section at small relative azimuthal angles as well as for asymmetric transverse momentum configurations.
