Exciton Spin Dynamics in Semiconductor Quantum Wells
Thierry Amand, Xavier Marie

TL;DR
This paper reviews the spin dynamics of excitons in semiconductor quantum wells, focusing on GaAs and InGaAs systems, and discusses how their fine structure influences spin properties.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive review of exciton spin dynamics specifically in GaAs and InGaAs quantum wells, highlighting the role of fine structure.
Findings
Spin properties are governed by exciton fine structure.
GaAs and InGaAs quantum wells serve as key model systems.
The review summarizes current understanding of exciton spin behavior.
Abstract
In this paper we will review Exciton Spin Dynamics in Semiconductor Quantum Wells. The spin properties of excitons in nanostructures are determined by their fine structure. We will mainly focus in this review on GaAs and InGaAs quantum wells which are model systems.
