TL;DR
This paper reports the discovery of six Beta Cephei stars and numerous other variable B-type stars in the young open cluster h Persei, highlighting its richness in variable stars similar to Chi Persei.
Contribution
First identification of multiple Beta Cephei and variable B-type stars in h Persei, expanding understanding of stellar variability in young clusters.
Findings
Six Beta Cephei stars discovered
Many other variable B-type stars identified
Cluster is rich in variable stars
Abstract
We announce the discovery of six Beta Cephei stars and many other variable stars in the young open cluster h Persei (NGC 869). The cluster seems to be very rich in variable B-type stars, similarly to its twin, Chi Persei (NGC 884).
