TL;DR
This paper develops a formalism using Gauss-Codazzi equations to analyze brane-world models within Brans-Dicke scalar-tensor gravity, focusing on compactification from six to five dimensions.
Contribution
It introduces a novel application of Gauss-Codazzi formalism to brane-world scenarios in Brans-Dicke theory with hybrid compactification.
Findings
Formalized brane-world models in scalar-tensor theories.
Extended Gauss-Codazzi formalism to higher-dimensional brane scenarios.
Provided a framework for analyzing compactification effects in Brans-Dicke gravity.
Abstract
We apply the Gauss-Codacci formalism to brane worlds scenario within the framework of Brans-Dicke gravity. The compactification is taken from six to five dimensions in order to formalize brane-world models with hybrid compactification in scalar-tensor theories.
