NOMAD Collaboration: Q.K. Wu, et al

TL;DR
This paper reports a highly precise measurement of the muon neutrino-nucleon inclusive charged current cross-section across a broad energy range, significantly reducing uncertainties in previous data and aiding neutrino oscillation research.
Contribution
The study provides the most precise cross-section measurements in the 2.5 to 40 GeV range, improving accuracy over prior experiments and supporting future neutrino oscillation studies.
Findings
Achieved ±4% precision in 2.5-10 GeV range
Achieved ±2.6% precision in 10-40 GeV range
Reduces uncertainties in neutrino cross-section data
Abstract
We present a measurement of the muon neutrino-nucleon inclusive charged current cross-section, off an isoscalar target, in the neutrino energy range GeV. The significance of this measurement is its precision, % in GeV, and % in GeV regions, where significant uncertainties in previous experiments still exist, and its importance to the current and proposed long baseline neutrino oscillation experiments.
