Search for bb decay with NEMO 3 and SuperNEMO experiments
V. Vasiliev (for the NEMO 3, SuperNEMO Collaborations)

TL;DR
This paper reports on NEMO 3's analysis of double beta decay in 130Te and 100Mo, setting new limits on neutrinoless decay, and introduces the SuperNEMO project's R&D efforts.
Contribution
It provides the first results from NEMO 3 on double beta decay and discusses the development of the SuperNEMO experiment for future research.
Findings
Measured 2νββ half-life of 130Te: 7.6 ± 1.5 (stat) ± 0.8 (syst) × 10^{20} years.
No evidence of 0νββ decay; set lower half-life limits for 100Mo and 82Se.
SuperNEMO R&D has commenced to improve future double beta decay searches.
Abstract
NEMO 3 is a double beta decay experiment. A part of low background data was analysed, preliminary result on bb2nu decay of 130Te obtained: T_{1/2} = 7.6 \+- 1.5(stat) +- 0.8(syst) * 10^{20} y$. No bb0nu signal was observed: T_{1/2}^{0\nu}(100Mo) > 5.8 *10^{23} y and T_{1/2}^{0\nu}(82Se) > 2.1 * 10^{23} y (90% C.L.). SuperNEMO project R&D has started.
