Structural Conditions for Full MHD Equations
Bongsuk Kwon

TL;DR
This paper analyzes the characteristic structure of full MHD equations, demonstrating they meet certain stability criteria and extending previous results from isentropic MHD to the full equations.
Contribution
It extends the stability analysis framework to the full MHD equations, broadening the applicability of prior theoretical results.
Findings
Full MHD equations satisfy the hypotheses of a general stability framework.
Extension of stability results from isentropic to full MHD equations.
Provides a foundation for further stability analysis of complex MHD systems.
Abstract
In this paper, we investigate the characteristic structure of the full equations of magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) and show that it satisfies the hypotheses of a general variable-multiplicity stability frame- work introduced by Metivier and Zumbrun, thereby extending to the general case various results obtained by Metivier and Zumbrun for the isentropic equations of MHD.
