TL;DR
This paper analyzes the decay modes of the $D_{sJ}(2700)$ meson to determine its placement in the charm-strange meson spectrum, using an effective Lagrangian approach with symmetries.
Contribution
It introduces a method to assign the $D_{sJ}(2700)$ meson to a specific level in the spectrum based on decay mode analysis and effective Lagrangian techniques.
Findings
Measurement of the $D^* K$ decay width can distinguish between possible assignments.
Effective Lagrangian approach with heavy quark and chiral symmetries is effective for decay analysis.
Provides a framework for identifying meson states through decay mode measurements.
Abstract
We study how to assign the recently observed meson to an appropriate level of the spectrum by the analysis of its decay modes in final states comprising a light pseudoscalar meson. We use an effective lagrangian approach with heavy quark and chiral symmetries, obtaining that the measurement of the decay width would allow to distinguish between two possible assignments.
