Parity Doublet Model applied to Neutron Stars
V. Dexheimer, S. Schramm, H. Stoecker

TL;DR
This paper applies the parity doublet model with SU(2) multiplets to neutron star matter, analyzing chiral restoration and calculating the maximum neutron star mass.
Contribution
It introduces the parity doublet model to neutron star physics, providing new insights into chiral symmetry restoration in dense matter.
Findings
Chiral restoration occurs at high densities in neutron star matter.
Maximum neutron star mass is calculated using the parity doublet model.
The model offers a novel approach to understanding neutron star composition.
Abstract
The Parity doublet model containing the SU(2) multiplets including the baryons identified as the chiral partners of the nucleons is applied for neutron star matter. The chiral restoration is analyzed and the maximum mass of the star is calculated.
