Kuldeep Kumar, P.Arun, N.C.Mehra, L.Makinistian, E.A.Albanesi

TL;DR
This paper investigates how the band gap of CsCl films varies with lattice constant and defect presence, combining experimental measurements with theoretical simulations to understand optical property dependencies.
Contribution
It provides new experimental data on CsCl film band gaps and compares these with theoretical models, highlighting defect effects on optical properties.
Findings
Band gap varies significantly with lattice constant.
Point defects strongly influence optical properties.
Experimental results align with theoretical predictions.
Abstract
The manuscript reports experimental estimation of Cesium Chloride film's band gap and compares it with theoretical simulations. The band gap shows a strong dependence on it's lattice constant. Also, it is seen that the point defects present in the films strongly affects it's optical properties.
