Probing Universal Extra Dimensions through rare decays induced by $b \to s$ transition
Rossella Ferrandes

TL;DR
This paper investigates how rare $b o s$ decays in $B_{d,s}$ and $ ext{Lambda}_b$ particles can reveal the presence of a universal extra dimension, focusing on the sensitivity of observables to the extra dimension's size.
Contribution
It analyzes rare $b o s$ decay processes within the Standard Model and the ACD model to assess the impact of a universal extra dimension on these decays.
Findings
Observables show sensitivity to the compactification radius R.
Potential to distinguish the ACD model from the Standard Model.
Provides predictions for decay rates in the presence of extra dimensions.
Abstract
A few and decays induced by transition are studied in the Standard Model and in the framework of the Appelquist, Cheng and Dobrescu (ACD) model, which is a New Physics scenario where a single universal extra dimension is considered. In particular, we investigate the sensitivity of the observables to the radius of the compactified extra dimension.
