Analysis of cosmic microwave background radiation in the presence of Lorentz violation
Matthew Mewes

TL;DR
This paper investigates how Lorentz violation could affect cosmic microwave background polarization, providing new constraints on such violations through analysis of vacuum birefringence effects.
Contribution
It offers the first stringent constraints on untested Lorentz violations affecting CMB polarization due to vacuum birefringence.
Findings
Lorentz violation can alter CMB polarization patterns.
New bounds are placed on Lorentz-violating parameters.
Vacuum birefringence effects are constrained with high precision.
Abstract
We examine the effects Lorentz violation on observations of cosmic microwave background radiation. In particular, we focus on changes in polarization caused by vacuum birefringence. We place stringent constraints on previously untested violations.
