Hyperbolicity of general deformations: proofs
Mikhail Zaidenberg (IF)

TL;DR
This paper advances the deformation method to construct new examples of Kobayashi hyperbolic surfaces in projective 3-space, starting from degree 8 and increasing in even degrees.
Contribution
It modifies the existing deformation technique to produce hyperbolic surfaces of higher degrees, expanding the known examples in complex geometry.
Findings
Constructed hyperbolic surfaces of degree 8 and higher in projective 3-space
Extended deformation methods to generate new hyperbolic examples
Provided proofs of hyperbolicity for the constructed surfaces
Abstract
We modify the deformation method explored previously in a joint work of B. Shiffman and the author, in order to construct further examples of Kobayashi hyperbolic surfaces in the projective 3-space of any even degree starting with degree 8.
