F. Rahaman, M. Kalam, K. A. Rahman

TL;DR
This paper explores a new class of wormholes supported by Chaplygin gas, analyzing their properties, matching interior solutions with Schwarzschild exterior, and discussing the matter required for their construction.
Contribution
It introduces a novel class of Chaplygin wormholes and examines their matching with Schwarzschild spacetime, highlighting their non-asymptotic flatness and matter requirements.
Findings
Wormholes supported by Chaplygin gas are not asymptotically flat.
Interior solutions are matched with Schwarzschild exterior at a junction.
The total matter needed for wormhole construction is quantified.
Abstract
Some new class of Chaplygin wormholes are investigated in the framework of a Chaplygin gas with equation of state , . Since empty spacetime () does not follow Chaplygin gas, so the interior Chaplygin wormhole solutions will never asymptotically flat. For this reason, we have to match our interior wormhole solution with an exterior vacuum solution i.e. Schwarzschild solution at some junction interface, say . We also discuss the total amount of matter characterized by Chaplygin gas that supplies fuel to construct a wormhole.
