Hyperbolicity of general deformations
Mikhail Zaidenberg (IF)

TL;DR
This paper introduces two innovative methods, projection and deformation, for constructing low-degree Kobayashi hyperbolic hypersurfaces in projective space, advancing the understanding of hyperbolic geometry.
Contribution
It presents new techniques for constructing hyperbolic hypersurfaces, expanding the toolkit for researchers in complex geometry.
Findings
Developed the projection method for hyperbolic hypersurfaces
Established the deformation method as a means to produce hyperbolic examples
Demonstrated the effectiveness of these methods in low-degree cases
Abstract
We present two methods of constructing low degree Kobayashi hyperbolic hypersurfaces in the projective space: the projection method and the deformation method. The talk is based on joint works of the speaker with B. Shiffman and C. Ciliberto.
