Ignatios Antoniadis, Alok Kumar, Binata Panda

TL;DR
This paper presents a minimal supersymmetric SU(5) GUT model within type I string theory, achieving moduli stabilization through magnetic fluxes and featuring a realistic three-family chiral spectrum.
Contribution
It constructs a novel minimal supersymmetric GUT model in string theory with stabilized moduli using oblique magnetic fluxes, maintaining realistic particle content.
Findings
All geometric moduli are stabilized by magnetic fluxes.
The model features a gauge symmetry of SU(5).
The chiral spectrum includes three families of quarks and leptons.
Abstract
We construct a minimal example of a supersymmetric grand unified model in a toroidal compactification of type I string theory with magnetized D9-branes. All geometric moduli are stabilized in terms of the background internal magnetic fluxes which are of "oblique" type (mutually non-commuting). The gauge symmetry is just SU(5) and the gauge non-singlet chiral spectrum contains only three families of quarks and leptons transforming in the representations.
