Brane Inflation and Fine Tuning
Enrico Pajer

TL;DR
This paper discusses the integration of inflationary models within string theory, focusing on brane inflation and addressing the critical issue of fine tuning for model viability.
Contribution
It reviews recent advances in brane inflation models within string theory, highlighting the challenges of fine tuning and the importance of embedding inflation in fundamental theories.
Findings
Brane inflation models require significant fine tuning.
Recent developments aim to reduce fine tuning in string theory-based inflation.
Embedding inflation in string theory remains a complex challenge.
Abstract
We argue about the importance of embedding the successful mechanism of Inflation in the context of a fundamental theory. We review some of the attempts in this direction made in the framework of String Theory. In particular we report on recent developments in Brane Inflation with emphasis on the fine tuning issue.
