In-medium modification and decay asymmetry of omega mesons in cold nuclear matter
A. Titov, B. Kampfer

TL;DR
This paper investigates how the decay asymmetry of omega mesons in cold nuclear matter reveals information about their in-medium modifications, offering a new method to study meson properties in nuclear environments.
Contribution
It introduces the concept of decay asymmetry as a sensitive probe for omega meson self-energy and in-medium modifications in nuclear matter.
Findings
Decay asymmetry depends non-trivially on omega energy and momentum.
Asymmetry can serve as a tool to study omega meson properties in nuclear medium.
The approach links decay asymmetry to meson self-energy characteristics.
Abstract
We discuss an asymmetry of the decay in nuclear matter with respect to the electron and positron energies. This asymmetry is sensitive to the properties of the meson self-energy and, in particular, it has a non-trivial dependence on the energy and momentum. Therefore, this asymmetry may serve as a powerful tool in studying the properties of the meson in the nuclear medium.
