M.Blasone, A.Capolupo, C.R.Ji, G.Vitiello

TL;DR
This paper presents a quantum field theory approach to defining neutrino flavor states as eigenstates of flavor charge operators, addressing the conceptual foundation of neutrino mixing.
Contribution
It introduces a consistent method to define neutrino flavor states within quantum field theory, improving the theoretical understanding of neutrino mixing.
Findings
Neutrino flavor states can be defined as eigenstates of flavor charge operators.
The approach provides a consistent framework for flavor mixing in quantum field theory.
This work clarifies the theoretical basis of neutrino flavor states.
Abstract
By resorting to previous results on flavor mixing in Quantum Field Theory, we show how to consistently define flavor states of mixed neutrinos as eigenstates of the flavor charge operators.
