Contribution
It presents new experimental results on _S from LEP across multiple analysis techniques, enhancing precision in QCD parameter determination.
Findings
Consistent _S values across different methods.
Improved precision in _S measurements from LEP data.
Insights into QCD processes from diverse decay channels.
Abstract
Recent results on measurements of the strong coupling from LEP are reported. These include analyses of the 4-jet rate using the Durham or Cambridge algorithm, of hadronic decays with hard final state photon radiation, of scaling violations of the fragmentation function, of the longitudinal cross section, of the lineshape and of hadronic lepton decays.
