Unparticle Physics And Gauge Coupling Unification
Ilia Gogoladze, Nobuchika Okada, Qaisar Shafi

TL;DR
This paper explores how unparticle physics from a hidden conformal sector can modify gauge coupling evolution, potentially enabling unification at high energies without adding new particles to the Standard Model.
Contribution
It demonstrates that unparticle physics can induce threshold corrections that allow gauge coupling unification within a specific high-energy range.
Findings
Unparticle effects can significantly alter gauge coupling running.
Unification can occur at M_{GUT} between 2×10^{15} and 5×10^{17} GeV.
No new particles are needed in the Standard Model sector.
Abstract
Unparticle physics from a hidden conformal sector can alter the evolution of the Standard Model (SM) gauge couplings via TeV scale threshold corrections. We discuss how this may lead to gauge coupling unification at M_{GUT}\approx 2 \times 10^{15} GeV -- 5 \times 10^{17} GeV without introducing new particles in the SM sector.
