Francesco Cannata, Alberto Ventura

TL;DR
This paper investigates the scattering behavior of a PT-symmetric square well potential in the (1+1)-dimensional Dirac equation when the potential's depth exceeds the pair production threshold, revealing unique quantum effects.
Contribution
It introduces a novel analysis of overcritical PT-symmetric potentials in the Dirac equation, expanding understanding of relativistic quantum scattering phenomena.
Findings
Identification of unique scattering features in overcritical PT-symmetric potentials
Demonstration of effects related to surpassing the pair production threshold
Insights into relativistic quantum behavior in non-Hermitian potentials
Abstract
We study scattering properties of a PT-symmetric square well potential with real depth larger than the threshold of particle-antiparticle pair production as the time component of a vector potential in the (1+1)-dimensional Dirac equation.
