TL;DR
This paper analyzes scattering of massless states on D3-branes using open string methods, constructing vertex operators, computing amplitudes, and comparing results with field theory, with implications for AdS/CFT correspondence.
Contribution
It introduces a direct open string approach to scattering on D3-branes, including vertex operator construction and amplitude calculations, aligning string results with field theory with 1-corrections.
Findings
Vertex operators on D3-branes are explicitly constructed.
Tree-level scattering amplitudes match 1-corrected 4 SYM results.
Results have implications for AdS/CFT correspondence.
Abstract
In a direct open string approach we analyze scattering of massless states on a stack of D3-branes. First we construct vertex operators on the D-branes. The 4+6 splitting for the fermionic part is made possible by inserting appropriately defined projection operators. With the vertex operators constructed we compute various tree amplitudes. The results are then compared with the corresponding field theory computations of the SYM with -corrections: agreements are found. We comment on applications to AdS/CFT.
