TL;DR
This paper reports measurements of branching fractions and CP asymmetries for specific charmless B0 decays involving K*0 and h+_1h-_2 final states, based on a large data sample from the BaBar experiment.
Contribution
It provides the first precise measurements of branching fractions and CP asymmetries for these B0 decay modes, including setting an upper limit for one decay channel.
Findings
Branching fraction for B0 → K*0 K+ K- is (27.5 ± 1.3 ± 2.2) × 10^{-6}
Branching fraction for B0 → K*0 π+ π- is (54.5 ± 2.9 ± 4.3) × 10^{-6}
Upper limit for B0 → K*0 K+ π- is < 2.2 × 10^{-6} at 90% CL
Abstract
Branching fraction and asymmetry measurements of charmless ( = , ) decays are presented, using a data sample of 383 million B\bar{B} decays collected with the BaBar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy -meson factory at SLAC. The results are: ( = (27.5 1.3 2.2) 10, ( ) = (4.6 1.1 0.8) 10 and ( ) = (54.5 2.9 4.3) 10. The first errors quoted are statistical and the second are systematic. An upper limit is set for ( ) 2.2 10 at 90% confidence level. We also present measurements of CP-violating asymmetries for the observed decays.
