Yoshihisa Kitazawa, Satoshi Nagaoka

TL;DR
This paper derives the Green-Schwarz superstring theory from the type IIB matrix model by connecting noncommutative Yang-Mills theory to string theory, including supersymmetry and interaction vertices.
Contribution
It presents a novel derivation of Green-Schwarz superstring theory directly from the type IIB matrix model, establishing a concrete link between matrix models and string theory.
Findings
Superstring theory is obtained from the IIB matrix model.
Supersymmetry transformations are consistent between models.
Perturbative string interactions are reproduced from the matrix model.
Abstract
We construct Green-Schwarz (GS) light-cone closed superstring theory from type IIB matrix model. A GS light-cone string action is derived from two dimensional N=8 U(n) noncommutative Yang-Mills (NCYM) by identifying noncommutative scale with string scale. Supersymmetry transformation for the light-cone gauge action is also derived from supersymmetry transformation for IIB matrix model. By identifying the physical states and interaction vertices, string theory is perturbatively reproduced.
