TL;DR
This paper investigates deformations of the q-quantum gravity loop algebra and finds that certain deformations are incompatible with Temperley-Lieb recoupling theory at roots of unity, suggesting limitations on possible algebraic modifications.
Contribution
It demonstrates the incompatibility of specific deformations of the q-quantum gravity loop algebra with Temperley-Lieb recoupling theory at roots of unity.
Findings
Deformations at roots of unity are incompatible with recoupling theory.
Incompatibility extends to more general deformation parameters.
Highlights constraints on algebraic deformations in quantum gravity models.
Abstract
A class of deformations of the q-quantum gravity loop algebra is shown to be incompatible with the combinatorics of Temperley-Lieb recoupling theory with deformation parameter at a root of unity. This incompatibility appears to extend to more general deformation parameters.
