Spin Hamiltonian for which the Chiral Spin Liquid is the Exact Ground State
Darrell F. Schroeter, Eliot Kapit, Ronny Thomale, Martin Greiter

TL;DR
This paper constructs a specific Hamiltonian on a square lattice that uniquely stabilizes the chiral spin liquid as its exact ground state, highlighting its topological properties.
Contribution
The authors explicitly design a Hamiltonian for the chiral spin liquid with exact ground state properties and topological degeneracy, advancing understanding of topological phases.
Findings
Chiral spin liquid is the exact ground state of the constructed Hamiltonian.
The Hamiltonian exhibits two-fold topological degeneracy.
The model provides a concrete realization of topological order.
Abstract
We construct a Hamiltonian that singles out the chiral spin liquid on a square lattice with periodic boundary conditions as the exact and, apart from the two-fold topological degeneracy, unique ground state.
