Superstring partition functions in the doubled formalism
Sudipto Paul Chowdhury

TL;DR
This paper computes the superstring partition function in the doubled formalism on a two-torus, confirming it matches known results for type-IIA and type-IIB theories under specific projections.
Contribution
It demonstrates the computation of superstring partition functions within the doubled formalism and verifies their consistency with established toroidal compactifications.
Findings
Partition function matches toroidally compactified type-IIA and IIB results
Verification of GSO projection consistency
Supports doubled formalism as a valid approach
Abstract
Computation of superstring partition function for the non-linear sigma model on the product of a two-torus and its dual within the scope of the doubled formalism is presented. We verify that it reproduces the partition functions of the toroidally compactified type--IIA and type--IIB theories for appropriate choices of the GSO projection.
