Forward-jet production in deep inelastic ep scattering at HERA
S. Chekanov, et al (for the ZEUS Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports measurements of forward jet production in deep inelastic ep scattering at HERA, providing insights into QCD dynamics at low Bjorken-x by comparing experimental data with theoretical models.
Contribution
It presents the first detailed measurements of forward jet cross sections at low x, testing QCD predictions with new experimental data from ZEUS.
Findings
Measurements agree with some QCD models but challenge others at low x.
Data constrains models of parton evolution in the proton.
Results highlight the importance of forward jet studies for understanding QCD.
Abstract
Forward jet cross sections have been measured in neutral current deep inelastic scattering at low Bjorken-x with the ZEUS detector at HERA using an integrated luminosity of . Measurements are presented for inclusive forward jets as well as for forward jets accompanied by a dijet system. The explored phase space, with jet pseudorapidity up to 4.3 is expected to be particularly sensitive to the dynamics of QCD parton evolution at low x. The measurements are compared to fixed-order QCD calculations and to leading-order parton-shower Monte Carlo models.
